My notebooks are a testament to the way words endlessly carry me forward. From poetry to songwriting to novels, I find that writing is an essential part of my being. If I am not writing, I’m thinking about writing. Every day, I am trying to make sense of what I see. In the end, I am just August King.

Since I was eight, I have always found a notebook to be as comforting as a stuffed animal or a book. From there, I found myself writing down nearly every thought I had before stringing them together to create stories. There is nothing like letting myself get lost in the power of a pen and paper. Lately, I have been working on several novels that have transformed how I’ve viewed writing. I hope to some day share those stories with the world.
